Building Bridges of Unity
Our mission is dedication to our community by striving to improve the lives of its residents by building bridges of unity through our volunteer services. All members are encouraged to volunteer at various charities of their choosing as well as those designated as projects of the Hobe Sound Women’s Club.
The Hobe Sound Women’s Club was found in 1997 by a group of women looking for an avenue to invest their time and resources for the good of the local community. Their first major project was the construction of a playground for the children of Hobe Sound. Through the years, the Hobe Sound Women’s Club has expanded its interests, and currently takes on several challenges and philanthropic causes: • Annual Academic Scholarships • The Community Butterfly Garden • Arts In Our Schools • South Florida Honor Flights for Veterans • Companionship For The Elderly • It Takes A Village Project • Hacienda Girls Ranch Support and many others.
We are a chapter of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC) is one of the world’s largest and oldest woman’s volunteer service organizations. There are thousands of clubs in the United States and globally in more than 20 counties. Members support the arts, preservation of natural resources, healthy lifestyle, civic engagement, and international causes. Each club shapes their local agenda to suit their community’s needs.
The Hobe Sound Women’s Club offers its members the opportunity to be successful volunteers within a supportive and fun-loving group of women. All women regardless of age, health status, race, religion, or political beliefs can find a place within the Hobe Sound Women’s Club where their time and efforts are appreciated and respected. Working with us you will help others but more importantly you will find that volunteerism is a wonderful way of life.
When good women come together to do good work, all kinds of good things will happen!
